Troubleshooting Email

Your Device is not configured for Email?
  1. The QuickTrade app uses the Email account(s) set up in your Settings App.
  2. Tap Settings > Mail to set one up.

Check to see if your Emails are being sent
  1. Notice which email address you send from in QuickTrade
  2. Find that email address in the official Apple Mail app. Even if you don't normally use the Mail app, QuickTrade does so check it here.
  3. Check that your QuickTrade emails are in your Sent folder. The Outbox is NOT your Sent folder and usually indicates a problem.

Checking your Sent folder

If your QuickTrade Emails are in the Outbox folder...
  1. Delete these old Emails so that they don't get sent once it's fixed!
  2. If your Mail app tries to force you to use a 3rd party app such as Outlook, there should be a link to use Apple Mail anyways. You will need to select this. This will not prevent your other app from working.
  3. Make sure Mail can access cellular data in Settings > Cellular > Mail.
  4. Update your Email password in Settings > Mail > Your Account.
  5. Check the rest of your email settings there. The correct settings will depend on your email provider.
  6. Test your new Email settings. Send an email to yourself or a friend using the Mail app.

If your emails are in your Sent folder...
  1. You can be reasonably sure QuickTrade is sending your emails.
  2. If you're still unsure, you can change the Crew Scheduling email address in QuickTrade to one of your own and see if you get the email sent to you.
